It’s back for another year! One of the most talked about new entrants from last year’s SCBW, led by the people behind Sydney Craft Beer Week and Beermen.TV, Beer Mimics Food is now a national event, with one huge launch party to be held at The Welcome Hotel in Rozelle. Want to learn more about what Beer Mimics Food is all about and why some of Australia’s best culinary talent are getting their hands dirty in a brewery, instead of the kitchen? Well, here’s the blurb…
If you’re already an avid connoisseur of beer or know someone who is, you’ll recognise that some consider it an essential food group. Beer has another magic quality. It can mimic the other food groups as well. To prove this, we challenged some of Australia’s best culinary minds, including Poh Ling Yeow, Ben O’ Donoghue, Michael Ryan, Hadleigh Troy and more to team up with some of Australia’s best brewing talent to show you how versatile our favourite drink can be by brewing a beer that tastes like a well-known food. All will be showcased at The Welcome Hotel, Rozelle on 20/10 from 3pm.
So who is involved? Some seriously huge cooking and brewing talent, that’s who!
Ross Kenrick from Bacchus Brewing and Ben O’ Donoghue (QLD)
The team at The Welcome Hotel have worked tirelessly with the Sydney Craft Beer Week Committee and Beermen.TV to shape what will be an amazing event.
